Learn all about what makes America great while preparing for the College Board Advanced Placement exam in May. You will use interactive assignments, write essays, study primary source documents, and engage in discussions on topics ranging from Colonial America to the Civil War to the Cold War. Advanced Placement American History is a college level course. It is meant to introduce students to the major points throughout American History from the Colonial Period to the present. Students are required to show competency in critically evaluating primary and secondary sources.
